Darci was recommended this book by her sister in law, and I had been wanting to read it for awhile, too. It's a story about circus life and the people that are involved in it. I've heard good things about this book so I can't wait to read it.
I love this book! I actually was given a copy when it came out (what, like 3 years ago?) and I never read it. It just sat on my shelf until I moved and gave it away. But in April, we were staying with Chris's grandparents and I couldn't sleep. So I found this book in the office and stayed up reading it for hours. Who knew the circus could be so fascinating?! I can't believe they haven't made a movie out of it yet! Well...if they do it will no doubt star Keira Knightly and James McAvoy ;)
We're 2 friends that used to live 7 miles apart and now we live 681 miles apart. We started picking out books to read together so we could stay connected. We formed our own little book club so we could chat about the books and how we felt about them. This is where we share our thoughts with you.
Darci picks the book that we start reading on the 1st of the month, Erin picks the book that we start reading on the 15th of the month. We both read quickly and then can email and talk about them once we're both done -- we're not strict about the timetable as we both have toddlers that keep us occupied and on our toes.
If you want to join us in reading a book - please do! Leave your review of the book so we can all talk about it.
We also both read other books throughout the month and will post our thoughts about them here, too, in a feature called "On The Side".

I've been wanting to read this one too. Can't wait to hear what you think about it!
Thanks, Darci, for adding the Historical Fiction label ... I couldn't figure out what to categorize this as! :)
